Fae is doing wonderful.  She is so sweet and eager to please.  Training her is just a matter of daily interaction.   She has become best buddies with Honey and the other dogs.  She loved to chase the chickens, guinea and turkeys when I let her hang out in the barn. She wouldn't hurt them just hold them down with her paw till I came to save them. To break her of this, I made her lie down while I fed them.  They walk all around her and she doesn't so much as quiver. Her only problem has been her propensity to chew.  It doesn't matter how many bones etc I give her, she will find a hose. a feeding dish, a bird house or anything else she can get to chew.  She always brings me whatever she is chewing on like it is a gift, so how can you fuss at her for that:)  I'll attach some recent pictures.  Fae definitely has the temperament, and intelligence that I would like to add to my breeding program. My experience buying Fae from you guys was a very good one.  I would recommend you to anyone.  You were accommodating, informative and always available to answer any questions.  Your facility is the best and most well run boarding kennel I've ever seen.

Hollie,

I want you to know how much my family and I appreciate you.  The first time that I called you to inquire about one of your new puppies I thought it would be a couple of questions and that would be our entire conversation.  However, while talking to you I got sidetracked and told you that we had just lost our Bailey (American Golden Retriever) after 10 yrs.  I did not have any intentions of discussing any of this nor did I ever think the opportunity would present itself during our conversation.  Instead of you taking the “Sales” approach and trying to push a new puppy on me, you listened.  I have replayed that conversation over and over and I cannot recall you ever trying to “Sell” me a dog.  You understood that we did not view Bailey as just a dog, but as a family member.  I feel very comfortable talking to you and know without a shadow of a doubt that you do not have ulterior motives.  Once we got to the point where I asked about your new born puppies I realized that I could not afford to purchase one.  Again, one would think like I did that would be the end of it (great conversation, just could not afford one). Instead you had called me back the next day to tell me that my family and I had been on your mind and you mentioned the idea of becoming foster parents to one of your beloved Golden’s.  I was floored!  You did not even know me or my family but your heart would not let you stop after our first conversation.  I had a lot of questions about the fostering program and you were very patient with me while answering.   I have to admit, I still had some doubts prior to our visit on 3/6/2010.  It just does not make business sense to take this approach.  You have a product, you sell the product, end of story.  That is how most breeders that I have spoken with act at least.   However you once said that “we operate outside of the box”.  You were right on the money with that phrase, I never once got the feeling that you view your Golden’s as products nor did I get the sense that you had dollar signs in your eyes when you look at your Golden’s.  You loved each one the same, you loved them as if they were your own.  You had taken the time out of your weekend to allow my family and I to spend 3 ½ hrs with you and your family (Golden’s).  Our visit was incredible, your facilities are incredible.  If there were such a thing as the Ritz Carlton for our beloved 4 legged family members, your “Bed and Biscuit Inn” would be it.  Wow!  Your love for your Golden’s shows through.   We are anxiously awaiting our new additions.  May will not come quick enough, especially for the girls.  Attached is a picture of our family with our new little ones.  We will forward more of the 128 pictures that we took during our visit.  Please take extra special care of Kyia and Kenzie until May.  We cannot wait!!!  Thank you so much from all of us in the Pickens' family!

Thank you so much!

On February 19th, 2010, we had the terrible task of putting down our beloved Daisy, a nine-year-old Golden Retriever.  We were obviously devastated and weren’t sure if we could ever love another dog, and especially another Golden.  Later that day (yes, the very same day) Betty said that she might want another Golden but that it couldn’t be the color of our first Golden (a very red Golden, whose fur matched our son’s hair color, who was named Lucky and lived 13 wonderful years) or Daisy (whose fur was wheat in color).
So, she typed “white Goldens” into her Web browser and we were led to Hollie’s Web site and discovered that Izzy Bea just had puppies.  Betty called the number on the Web site and Hollie answered on the second ring.  Betty told Hollie of our sadness over the loss of Daisy.  Quite quickly, both of the girls were crying and Hollie said that we needed to come to her place, right away, to get a lot of puppy love.  So off we went to Lula, Ga.
Hollie, and her partner Holly, were absolutely wonderful, the dogs and puppies were beautiful, the facility was amazing and as you can imagine, we put down a deposit on our next little bundle of love right then and there.  We will be choosing the newest member of our family on March 20th and then we will get to bring him home on April 3rd.  We can’t wait!!!!
Thanks so much, Hollie.  Seeing your puppies was incredibly therapeutic and the bear hugs you gave both Betty and I were amazing.  Dog lovers have a boundless capacity to love … even strangers.  We now feel fortunate to count you as a friend who helped us through one of our most difficult moments and we look forward to continuing to grow our friendship in the future.

We have a 12 year old golden and I have been wanting to get another before something happens to our older one. One sunday I was looking through the classifieds in a North GA paper and came across their web site. I was very impressed with the web site. A  lot of information about english creams goldens and thats what I have wanted. Once I saw the pictures of the pups I had to call to see if any were available. I called and left a message and Hollie called me back from Texas. She was delivering a puppy to someone there. I couldn't believe it. Home delivery!. We talked and she had 2 girls left. We were on our way to Virginia so we worked out that we would come back through Gainesville to see the puppies and decide if we wanted one. Well, once we saw them we had to have a little girl. They were beautiful. Holly Crumley gave us all the time to decide if we wanted to take one. She gave us a lot of information about the puppies and we got to meet their mother. They run a very professional kennel. We named her Heidi Isabella and she is beautiful, full of energy and very smart. She does like to chew on just about anything she can find and she gets along great with our outdoor cat. They have become best friends. The puppies and facilities are first rate.  You could not ask for better people to deal with on the purchase of one of their dogs.

Do you love golden retrievers?? Well, you will love one of Hollie Autry’s European Creme golden retrievers. I have had two goldens. Jake lived to be 15 years old and my sweet girl, Summer, was 12 ½ years old. She went into kidney failure in November, 2009 and I had to put her to sleep. It was heart breaking because, as you know, golden retrievers leave paw prints on your heart.

I had heard of the European Creme retrievers and, thus, I began my search on line. I contacted several breeders and actually visited one and put a deposit down on an unborn puppy. Then I learned of Hollie Autry and her white goldens. I called her on a Monday and went to visit her and her dogs on a Thursday in December. That was it. I fell in love with her, Holly Crumley, their dogs and their awesome facility. I put a deposit down that day. Hollie’s dogs are simply beautiful and are soooo happy. You must go and visit and, trust me, you will fall in love with Hollie and her dogs.

The Bed and Biscuit Inn is like the Ritz Carlton for dogs and is located on the Crumley’s property. It is beautiful, nestled below the mountains of northern Georgia.  It is difficult to leave our four legged friends behind when we travel, but I will not hesitate to board my dog here. She will get the best of care and lots of attention. In May and April, both Holly and Hollie will begin training sessions at the kennel. I wish I could participate but I live too far away.

From my initial contact with Hollie, she has been so informative and knowledgeable and honest about the European Creme breed. She continues to answer any questions that I have and has assured me to call her if I have any questions or problems once I get my puppy home. And patient, oh my goodness! The day I went to pick my puppy, I was there almost all day. And it was so great to be there with just Hollie and the puppies and to have the time to pick. My little girl is Stella and I cannot wait to pick her up next Saturday. I am so excited!

Yesterday I drove back over to the kennel just to see and play with Stella and all of the puppies. I had so much fun watching the puppies play, run, and nap. This was actually my fourth visit to see Hollie and her dogs. To me, it is quite obvious that Hollie and Holly enjoy and love what they do and they love their dogs and puppies. And it is a two way street………………the dogs and puppies love Hollie and Holly. They are so connected to their dogs and sincerely want the best for them.

Thanks Hollie for making this experience for me so wonderful! You have become a good friend and I will definitely bring Stella back to visit with you and Ivoree.

Hollie,

My experience with you began at the Bed and Biscuit Inn.  Ryan and I were going on vacation and believed that no one could take care of our Maggie better than us--until we met you.  We must have called at least 10 times on a 2 1/2 day trip to check on her, but you always assured us she was fine and gave thorough updates on how she was doing.  When we came back from our trip, we had a hard time getting her back in the car!

Upon visiting your facility, Ryan fell in love with the goldens and immediately came home and told me about them.  Rose stole my heart seeing her online and in person.  She was so attentive and good natured.  However, when we brought her home to Maggie, they just didn't mesh.  After trying several ideas, we felt that Rose was simply not a good fit for our home.  I was devastated and afraid to call you to tell you the news because I am one of those people that refuses to give up.  However, you explained to me that you wanted Rose AND my family to be happy and that you completely understood.  You told me you would begin looking for the perfect fit for me.

The perfect fit came in a tiny package named Galya.  We knew we couldn't afford a puppy, but felt that we had a great deal of love and attention to offer.  When you called me to say that you wanted me to foster Galya, I cried when I got off of the phone.  I couldn't believe how I had gone from giving back one of your incredible goldens to having the puppy of my dreams!

Galya currently goes to the office with me 4 days a week.  She is the "office mascot" and gets lots of great socialization with people.  She and Maggie are working out beautifully together.  They both love to go to the dog park and swim in the lake.  I cannot wait to see how spectacular Galya's puppies are going to turn out.  She is truly one of a kind.

Thank you Hollie for caring so much about your goldens that you make yourself available both day and night.  Your hard work is definitely paying off--just look into Galya's face and know it is true.  You are a great friend to me, and I look forward to watching Galya have a fantastic life through our combined efforts

Hi Hollie,

I just wanted to let you know how much Kevin and I appreciate you!!!!!!  I mean, how many breeders would take the time after they have been driving two or three hours to deliver a precious puppy to their new owner to drive an ADDITIONAL hour and a half out of their way to check on one of their puppies that had already been sold a while ago?????  I bet not a one!!!!

You are truly one of a kind.

I had given you a call after our little Dermot's second vet visit and I told you that he was 10.2 pounds.  You asked me on that day if I thought he was little skinny.  I mentioned to you that he just didn't seem to like his food very much and that he never seem interested in eating at all.  Three days later you called to check with me about his weight again.  You told me that you had checked with a couple of the other new owners of the same litter and one of his brothers was 20 pounds, another was 18 pounds and one of his sisters was 13 pounds.  I told you that Dermot also had been having diarrhea for the past 12 hours and I was concerned.  I told you that I had talked to my vet three times in one day and he said to just watch him and to give him some white rice and see how he did and to contact him if he didn't get better.  Well, he was getting better but I was still worried.

The next thing I know -- there you are at my door!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Dermot was SO happy to see you.  (So were Kevin and I!)  You picked him up and he wiggled and squirmed in your arms and was kissing you all over.  You said that you thought Dermot looked great -- a little on the thin side -- but that you weren't worried about him but you thought it might be a good idea to try a different brand of food.  Not only did you tell me what to try, you DROVE me to a pet food supply place near my home, went in with me, answered all my questions and just made me feel so much better about everything.

When we got back home, we put a cup of the new food in Dermot's dish and he just could not have eaten it fast enough!!!  Every single morsel!  He inhaled it!  What a little angel he is AND what an angel you are, Hollie!  Thank you again for everything.  You call and check on how things are going every now and then and are always willing to answer any questions that we may have.  You go above and beyond!!!

I look forward to our play date that we're talking about having with Dermot and your Ivoree and Stella!  Can't wait to see them all together again.

You're the best!!!!!

Hey Hollie –

I’m checking in to give you our update as requested. Everything and one is transitioning in fairly smoothly. The puppies are doing well - Every day they generate their own new puppy tale…… And two is definitely more fun than one! The best way to describe it is this: I had my first child – and I was in love with him. I could sit and watch him all day. And he was fun and full of life (and challenging moments….) And then I had my daughter. And she was fun and full of life (and challenging moments …..). But then we had all of the times and memories of the things they did together – like the first time he pulled her down the road in the wagon or they took a bath together and splashed all over the tub. So I think two puppies are going to be a lot like two kids. Watching the two of them body slam each other as they play in the backyard or sleep together half in and out of the water bowl, or tug the same bone back and forth is a lot of fun. And conveniently, they both manage to potty at the same time every time! The one thing I would want to point out to anyone who got two at the same time is that they should break them up for individual bonding time on a regular basis. My trainer reminded me of this – and my brother who got two sibs at the same time and did not do that feels like the dogs are not as responsive to him as they could be.

Seriously though, my vet was very impressed. One of my friends is actually her vet tech and she said that Dr. J was actually initially concerned there might be something wrong they were so laid back. (They were sleeping in the room when she came in). She’s never had such calm puppies come thru. Her only concern was they had a little green eye goop that had just popped up Sun pm/yesterday – but she didn’t want to treat unless they develop any other symptoms. (Which has pretty much cleared up since I originally wrote this……)

The coordinator for the 4H club and the Paws for Reading Program and Nursing Hall Therapy Dog Program has been over to work with Cassidy on some new training techniques for Cass to use – marker words etc. that we didn’t incorporate into Tigger’s training years ago. The girls are already responding to that and some exercises that I used on Tigger to make the come a guaranteed command J

Anyhow, it’s a very exciting time all the way around. The puppies are either sleeping or playing and loving. Tigger – the wolfhound – was not so excited at first about the puppies. She was backing away when they approached her. But by day three, she was sneaking up behind them. And by day four, she was trying to herd and bounce them. Which, granted, is a little intimidating when you are outweighed by 120 pounds. So I think they are going to work it all out. Now we are playing a new game …. Dodge and Decoy. She goes to round them up….. one dodges away so she chases them and then the other decoys her attention for a moment and then dodges. So she can’t decide who to chase. So they end up running in big circles until they all end up at the back door.

And they did get new names……. We wanted short kid friendly names for the therapy dog work. So they are Peach and Daisy. Gamers recognize them as the princesses that Mario and Luigi are trying to save. Cassidy decided which one was Daisy by calling the name and seeing who would respond. Coincidentally it was the bigger of the two girls….. my “lazy” daisy who decided to quit walking on the trail expecting to be carried on the day we drove home. The registered names will be: Syrah’s Peaches and Cream and Syrah’s Lazy Daze of Summer.

I did adjust the feeding schedule – and that has done the trick. The first night Daisy barked once – I told her “Hollie said to tell you to be quiet and go back to sleep J” – which she promptly did! The last two nights they have slept thru 10:30 to 6.

Here are a couple of quick pix. Soccer is a favorite sport for the puppies
and the water bowl pic is cute ..... but the ice bag is the best. The dogs
found a ground bee nest in the back of the yard. Tigger and Peach got stung
- and one of the bees followed them up and got me - in the rear no less.
Anyhow, when we got inside and I looked at Peach, her poor eye was swelling
closed - she looked like she'd gone 10 rounds with the champ. I couldn't
remember if you could give a dog benedryl so I texted my vet tech friend.
While we waited to hear from her, we iced her down. She very patiently
chilled with her ice pack. She looks like a little movie star who partied
too hard! She was fine the next day but definitely laid back the rest of
the nite!

We felt so fortunate the day that we found Holly's website. We had lost our American Golden, Dakota, March 20 2011 to heart disease and our hearts were broken in a million pieces. We decided that we would not get another dog because we could not go through the pain of that loss again. Well we went out of town and I saw an English Golden. I could not get her off of my mind. When we came back in town I started looking for one and was so lucky to find Holly. She met with us and understood our doubts. She did not pressure us in any way and we are so glad that we decided to get another. Rosie is so sweet and loves everyone.Holly raises such sweet natured dogs and very healthy. We are still in touch and keep updated since we got Rosie in August.I can not say enough nice things about Holly and her dogs but if you are looking for a new member of your family you must give Holly a call. I have enclosed a picture of Dakota and Rosie. She has helped us with the loss. He will never be forgotten and he would have loved Rosie also .

Sincerely,
Helen, John and Rosie Klinger

We have a Galya/Jim girl, and she is more than beautiful, sweet and one of my favorite Goldens. Summer is gentle and very funny, not overly lively, not too laid back, she is fantastic, and GORGEOUS. She is my most beautiful girl I have. I This is a don't pass up Golden, for sure. I cannot express that enough. Hollie is a fantastic, young lady with more knowledge than I could ever expect to have, this young woman will exceed and succeed at everything she does. She responds to all my questions and has been a source for me throughout my breeding venture. She has also assisted me in learning to show dogs at a show last Spring, I treasure her every word. Hollie comes with my highest recommendations, as a great breeder, trainer and a business woman. Please feel free to contact me, my experience with Hollie and owning one of her Goldens has been nothing but a fantastic experience. Email me or I can be reached at 615-653-3132 if you have any questions at all. I will be more than happy to speak with you. We love our Summer.
